Also in 2006, her and her partner placed 5th at Nationals for Beach Volleyball in El Segundo, California under 692 Coach, Scott Stover.  While at SMU, Selby also played on the SMU Club team.

Selby’s Coaching Philosophy:

Fundamental skills win volleyball games!  As a coach, I like drills that force players to fine tune the basics, while allowing for a high number of contacts.

Physical fitness is another essential aspect of the game.   I truly believe that in order to play hard, you have to train hard. I’m okay with getting beat as a result of talent, but I am not okay with getting beat because of fitness.

Most of all, I’m there for my girls on and off the court.

Selby is IMPACT certified.
