Leslye graduated 6th in her class from Pilot Point High School in 2008. During high school, she was involved in many associations including National Honor Society, Beta Club, class vice president, FCA, FFA, Keep Pilot Point Beautiful as well as playing volleyball, basketball, and softball all four years.
AWARDS:
4-Year Letterman on the PPHS Softball Team. Awarded All District Defensive MVP honors as a sophomore, 1st Team District and 2nd Team All Area as a junior, 1st Team District and 2nd Team All Area senior. Awarded Academic All District honors each year. Served as team captain her last 2 years.
3-Year Letterman on the PPHS Volleyball Team. Awarded Academic All District honors all three years, 1st Team All District and 2nd Team All Area as a junior, and 2nd Team All District as a senior. Served as team captain senior year and was named Co-MVP at the end of the season.
3-Year Letterman on the PPHS Basketball Team. Awarded Academic All District honors all three years. Served as team captain her senior year.
Leslye was named Denton County 2008 Female Athlete of the Year by Greater Denton Sports Commission.
After graduating from high school,she attended North Central Texas College in Gainesville where she played volleyball for the Lady Lions. She was libero both her freshman and sophomore year at NCTC. Leslye was awarded NTJCAC Second Team All-Conference in 2008 as well as being an Academic All-American. She also was a team captain during the 2009 season. Leslye was named to the Dean’s List in fall 2008, spring 2009, and fall 2009 semesters at NCTC. She graduated from NCTC with an associate’s degree in science in December 2009 and transferred to Tarleton State University. Leslye played on the TSU Club Volleyball team for one semester before transferring to Texas Woman’s University in Denton in the summer of 2010. She currently attends TWU and is continuing her collegiate volleyball eligibility for the Pioneers. She is a redshirt for the 2010 season and will play the following two seasons for TWU. Leslye is working toward a degree in Kinesiology for Adaptive PE and plan on graduating in December of 2012.
