Gregg Hoss - Email
This is Gregg's 1st year with 900VB.

Coach Hoss is a secondary mathematics teacher at The Denton High School, where he is the head JV and assistant Varsity volleyball coach. He also coaches girls track. His Lady Broncos JV team went 11-1 in district last year.

Gregg has been coaching volleyball at the club level for 6 years, first, at Texas Image Volleyball Club, then at One10 Volleyball Club, including helping run One10’s beach volleyball program.

He began his career playing outdoor volleyball at various spots in the DFW metroplex when he was 15. He graduated from Nolan High School, Ft Worth, in 1993, where he played basketball and baseball. After High School, he attended the University of Notre Dame, where he played for 4 years on the ND Men's Volleyball Team as a Defensive Specialist, Setter, and Outside Hitter. He graduated in 1997 with a BBA, majoring in Finance.

Gregg plays volleyball year round at a competitive level, setting for his men’s team, which is a regular participant in USA Volleyball's Adult Open National Championship.

Coach Hoss' philosophy on the court is the same as it is in the classroom: 'In order for you to be the best that you can be, you must have a solid grasp of the fundamentals, proper form, and technique.' It is his goal to teach this to the best of his ability to every student and player he comes in contact with.

Gregg Hoss and his wife, Ranee (also a 900vb Coach), have been together for more than 9 years and were married in March of 2009. They have two beautiful baby boys, Dalton, 2, and Bodi, 1. Gregg's wife, Ranee, is a kindergarten teacher in HEB ISD and played volleyball for the University of North Texas and Texas Weslyan University.
