Erin is in her second year at 900VB!
Erin graduated from Northwest High School in Justin, TX in 1999 where she excelled at volleyball, basketball and track as well as academically. In high school, she was MVP of her volleyball team her sophomore year, earned many 1st team All District Honors including Newcomer of the year, Outstanding Blocker and Defensive MVP. She was selected 1st Team all NE Area, 2nd Team all Tarrant County and also selected as a Texas All Star (West) in 1999. She played club for North Dallas Juniors under Robin Bugg 1998 and 1999.
Erin attended Ole Miss on a full scholarship where she started as a freshman. In 2002 she was an All Tournament selection at the University of Montana Tournament, Ole Miss Magnolia Invitational and Central Florida Tournament. She was the Team Captain, and was named to the All SEC Good Works Team 2002 and All SEC Academic Honor roll in 2002. She is currently 3rd in career blocks (99-02) in Ole Miss history with 270. While at Ole Miss, she also played 1 year of basketball for the Ole Miss Women's basketball team.
Post college: She has coached high school volleyball for four years at Lafayette High School in Oxford, Mississippi. In 2007, she coached her team to the State Final Four and to the Regional Finals in 2008. She has coached 3 State All-Star Athletes and 3 All Area athletes. While at the Lafayette, she also started a middle school program there as well. Erin also coaches with the Texas Volleyball Academy, a youth league out of Coppell.
Last year, 900.12.1 finished 13th in the region, won the Polar Express tournament, finished 2nd in the New Year’s Classic and always finished in the top 5 at all their tournaments!
Erin is a laid back coach and likes to have fun but also challenges her athletes to improve. She loves to teach the game to younger players and see them excel at it.
She has been married to her husband, Trevor for 7 years and they have a 3 year old daughter named Hannah. On the side, Erin is a part-time preschool PE teacher and stays at home with Hannah.
